A Quick Weekend Getaway to Almeria, Spain

Desperately in need on sun and a recharge, we looked up flash holiday deals on Wednesday....and Friday that week we were away to Almeria in Spain.

I immediately spotted the Central Mercardo, my favourite place in Valencia if you remember. I was once again in heaven. Jamon as far as the eye can see, boqueones, wines, salted fish and fruits as big as my face.

My boyfriend is such an addict to Jamon Iberico, he bought a shoulder of ham and took it home with him - as in back to England. In his suitcase. Hand luggage, I might add.

Arbutus. The good value set menu strikes again!

One of the best set menus to be had in London is the pre-theatre from Michelin starred restaurant, Arbutus in Soho.

Full of atmosphere and none of the stuffiness of a typical French restaurant, good conversation, food and wine was found in abundance!

Two courses of delicious food will set you back just £18.95 and three just £20.95.
Go for three!! Just do it!!

We started with a most beautiful and delicate steak tartare.

Followed by fresh sheep's ricotta gnudi, broad beans, asparagus and parmesan.

Finished off with an incredible cold chocolate fondant and salted caramel ice cream. Just dreamy!

Longest Day of The Year

I was walking across Tower Bridge on the longest day of the year just at dusk and I had to stop and take photos. I'm sure it offers some of the best views of London, seeing the mix of old and new buildings along with the Thames. The view where I stood was absolutely breathtaking.

23 on the 23rd

I wanted to celebrate turning 23 with a group of my absolute closest friends and loved ones. I haven't done something for my birthday in a long while, finding it really difficult to get everyone together at one time, but this year I was determined to have those I love the most around me.

We celebrated at B-Soho, a great place for cocktails and pizzas, sofas and live music to dance and sing to. It's a good place to head before carrying on the night elsewhere.

I had the biggest smile on my face all night. I'm definitely framing some of these!

Barbados.

Before you say anything, I know I am one very very lucky girl.

Way way back in May - blogging has taken a backseat lately - I went to Barbados with one of my best friends.

I knew just from where we were staying that we were in for a treat. It turned out to be one of the holidays of a lifetime. It is bursting with beauty and the people are so friendly and wonderful.

I swam with sea turtles, went on a rum-filled cruise and ate as much sea food as I could possibly fit into my tummy, saw sands whiter than white and a sea the most perfect crystal blue.

I've just posted my favourite pictures from what we did including my favourite restaurants we visited, a boat cruise I would most DEFINITELY recommend and my favourite sites to see.

Take a look at paradise.

We saw the most incredible sunsets.
